Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Christopher Nibbs! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nibbs ducks under a wild hook from Brutal. Nibbs gets tackled into the cage by Brutal. Brutal maintains the clinch. I was talking to Brutal's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Nibbs misses with an elbow strike.

Nibbs tries to throw a body punch but Brutal avoids it by throwing Nibbs back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short right hand to the side of the head by Brutal. Nibbs wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. The referee calls for Brutal to work.

Brutal takes a shot to the head. Nibbs is trying to break the clinch but Brutal has him pressed against the cage. Brutal pushes Nibbs back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Come on Brutal - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Nibbs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brutal sprawls well initially but Nibbs persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Nibbs takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Nibbs sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Brutal defending well though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Nibbs is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brutal has managed to free his arm - good work. Nibbs works his way into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Nibbs advances to full mount. Nibbs goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Brutal is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brutal wants to control from the top but Nibbs keeps moving. Nibbs pushes a forearm under Brutal's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Brutal is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Christopher Nibbs decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
