PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leon Keller (ranked 25524 p4p, 5757 weight class) and Chibi Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Leon Keller has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Leon Keller seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leon Keller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chibi Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keller avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Keller looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Suzuki misses with a looping right.
Suzuki looks to land a left hand but Keller moved out of range nicely.
Suzuki swings widly with a right hand
enabling Keller to counter with a crisp jab.
Suzuki waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Keller.
Keller is looking to counter punch.
Chibi Suzuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suzuki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Suzuki lands a lovely overhand right.

It looks like Leon Keller has been cut.
Keller moves out of range as Suzuki strikes.
It looked like Keller wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Keller showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Suzuki.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Suzuki cracks Keller with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Suzuki has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Keller to stand back up!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Suzuki throws a shot from downtown. Keller moves away and avoids it.
Keller slips under a jab.
A big right from Suzuki misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Suzuki misses with an uppercut. Keller saw that one coming.
Suzuki waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Keller.
Suzuki misses with a looping left.
Keller uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Suzuki.
Keller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Suzuki.
Keller connects with a right hand. Suzuki shakes it off.
Suzuki looks to land a right hand but Keller moved out of range.
Keller avoids a punch combination nicely.
Keller slips a jab from Suzuki.
Suzuki loads up on a big right hand but Keller slips the punch.
Good standup being displayed there by Suzuki as he connects with a hook.
Keller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Keller definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Keller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Suzuki.

Suzuki cracks Keller with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Suzuki has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Keller to stand back up!

Keller is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Keller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Suzuki.
Oh Keller is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Suzuki loads up on a big right hand but Keller slips the punch.
Keller seems to have got his legs back now.
Suzuki misses the jab.
Suzuki throws a hook but Keller avoids it easily.
Suzuki lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Keller up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Suzuki from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Keller's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chibi Suzuki!
Chibi Suzuki decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
