Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ray Cartier (ranked 4661 p4p, 3247 weight class) and Flavio Maccaselli (ranked 128 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Cartier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Flavio Maccaselli! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cartier shoots in for a double leg but Maccaselli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Maccaselli tries a head kick but it misses.
Flavio Maccaselli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maccaselli throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Cartier shoots in but Maccaselli avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cartier shoots for a double leg takedown but Maccaselli sprawls well. He's pushed Cartier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Cartier. Cartier winds up and cracks Maccaselli with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Cartier wants to control but Maccaselli is keeping him busy. Cartier is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maccaselli sees it coming and defends easily. Cartier throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Cartier takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cartier is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Maccaselli has managed to free his arm - good work. We've been informed that Maccaselli has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Cartier is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Maccaselli defends it well. Well, if Cartier is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Cartier works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maccaselli can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cartier is working to tighten his grip on Maccaselli's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Maccaselli has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cartier is really squeezing tight and eventually Maccaselli passes out! Cartier breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
