Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryuji Mato (ranked 4402 p4p, 4305 weight class) and Fiddle Sticks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuji Mato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fiddle Sticks! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mato fails with a takedown attempt. Sticks tries to counter with a clinch but Mato shakes him off and moves away. Sticks looks to throw the jab but Mato is out of range. Sticks lands a leg kick that knocks Mato off balance momentarily. Sticks just misses with a punch to the body.
Mato shoots in for a double leg but Sticks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mato lands a right hook to the body.
Mato clinches up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mato is trying to break free. Sticks gets underhooks to prevent Mato's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryuji Mato. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mato managing to block the knees to the body from Sticks.
Sticks is trying to pull guard but Mato has him pressed against the cage. Sticks jumps guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mato trying to control the position from guard on top but Sticks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sticks can do anything to dispel that myth. Mato missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mato is pushing down on Sticks's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sticks is fighting to maintain full guard but Mato has managed to sneak the leg through. Mato is pressing down on Sticks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sticks is holding on for now. Sticks works his way to full guard. Good work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sticks is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mato striking off his back but it's not causing Sticks any problems. Sticks trying to control but Mato is working from the bottom. Sticks forces his way into half guard. Mato tries to get to full guard but Sticks has control of the leg. Mato is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sticks pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mato is looking to improve his position.
Mato is in trouble now - Sticks has advanced to mount! Mato is breathing heavily. Mato is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sticks is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mato is surviving well by controlling Sticks's body position as best he can. Sticks looking to isolate an arm here. Mato doesn't see it coming and as Sticks extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Sticks!
