Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Oenomaus Doctore (ranked 2375 p4p, 5409 weight class) and Gonzo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doctore kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - . This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doctore fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Souza sprawls well initially but Doctore persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Souza tries to roll over but Doctore keeps him under control.

Doctore is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Souza has managed to free his arm - good work.

Doctore seems to be looking for submissions.
We've been hearing good reports from Doctore's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Souza enables Doctore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Souza manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
