Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jason Jungle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tomo Tsuru!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsuru keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jungle closes the distance and clinches up with Tsuru, looking for a takedown. Jungle pushes Tsuru against the cage but Tsuru circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tsuru connects with a nice looking jab.
Jungle shoots for a takedown but Tsuru saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tsuru lands with a right hand.
Tsuru connects with a looping right hand.
Tsuru clinches up with Jungle and pushes him back against the cage.
Jungle jumps guard but Tsuru turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Jungle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tsuru working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Tsuru struggles to land a body shot inside as Jungle controls his hands.
Jungle slows down the pace here.
Jungle changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tsuru fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tsuru clinches up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Still in the clinch, Tsuru scores with a nice short uppercut.
Jungle gets control of Tsuru's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jungle will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Tsuru must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tsuru would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jungle wants to sweep but no luck.
Tsuru wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Jungle's closed guard. He's half up but Jungle has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Jungle pivots and extends the arm, Tsuru falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Jungle! Well done that man!
