The crowd seem to be enjoying Metis's choice of entrance music: Right Now - Van Halen. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Smith keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Metis shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smith drops Metis with a nice combination! Smith dives into Metis's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Matthew Metis has been cut.
Smith drops back looking for a leg! Metis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Metis manages to kick Smith off! Smith jumps back into Metis's guard.
Metis is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him?

Smith gets to his feet - Metis follows without any prompting.
