And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 14 losses; Trevor Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Dew fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dew doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Barnes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barnes.
Barnes is pressed up against the cage. Dew has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Barnes down to the mat. Barnes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Barnes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
