Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between You Want Some (ranked 25502 p4p, 25550 weight class) and Carlos Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Zapata is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Zapata!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some tries to clinch up but Zapata circles away and keeps his distance.
Zapata gets a clinch.
Zapata breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zapata clinches with his opponent.
Zapata controlling the action here for a moment.
Zapata throws an elbow that misses.
Zapata pushes Some back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zapata breaks from the clinch.
Zapata circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zapata lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Some lands with a shot to the body.
Some throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zapata counters with a takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Zapata has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Some is looking for a sweep.
Some is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Some tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Zapata working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Some looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Zapata! Submission of the night perhaps?
