Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ieyso Rurov (ranked 4440 p4p, 4451 weight class) and Andrei Mikhailov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Mikhailov!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rurov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rurov lands in his opponent's guard.

Rurov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

You can see the frustration on Mikhailov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ieyso Rurov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rurov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mikhailov keeps working.

Rurov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mikhailov's shoulder. That is not cool.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Rurov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mikhailov manages to avoid the submission attempt.
