Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kent Fredricks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cooper's corner calls for a 1-2. Cooper obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Cooper shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fredricks's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fredricks holds on and takes a little breather.

Fredricks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

and Cooper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Cooper is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Fredricks!
Fredricks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cooper on the ground.
Fredricks tries to lock up and control but Cooper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cooper throws a combination. Fredricks tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Oooooh!!! Fredricks has knocked Cooper down with a huge combo! Fredricks steps away and waves a wobbly Cooper back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fredricks crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cooper - the referee stops the clock and Fredricks gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cooper. Fredricks manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The fighters circle momentarily. Fredricks darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

The cut above Matt Cooper's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fredricks takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Cooper has his foot on Fredricks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fredricks works his way back into a safe position though.
Cooper manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fredricks manages to get himself to full guard.

Cooper is taking a breather. Fredricks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cooper uses his free foot to push down on Fredricks's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fredricks.
Fredricks is squirming around, avoiding Cooper's attempts to control the action.

Matt Cooper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cooper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
