Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Carpenter (ranked 2811 p4p, 3714 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 133 p4p, 165 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Carpenter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 44 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that Carpenter has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Meyer jumps guard and drags Carpenter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Carpenter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Meyer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Carpenter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Meyer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The referee calls for Meyer to work.

Oscar Meyer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Meyer will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Carpenter up against the cage.

Well Meyer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
