Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Konstantine Savelyev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Wilkinson! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Savelyev. Savelyev moves out of range of the body kick. Wilkinson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wilkinson throws a sloppy strike and Savelyev uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Savelyev has ended up in Wilkinson's guard.

Wilkinson can't keep his opponent in guard - Savelyev advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilkinson is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Savelyev moves nicely into side control. Savelyev controlling the position from side mount. Wilkinson is looking for a sweep. Savelyev tries for a kimura but Wilkinson is defending well. Wilkinson sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wilkinson won't allow Savelyev to pass to mount. Wilkinson is trying to get back to full guard. Wilkinson is not content to let Savelyev control the position. It looks like Savelyev is going to stand back up.
Wilkinson tries to roll over but Savelyev keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wilkinson shoots in and bounces Savelyev off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wilkinson is looking to stand up but Savelyev won't let him. Wilkinson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wilkinson trying to move into half guard but instead Savelyev has managed to sweep! Savelyev slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Wilkinson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Savelyev wants to stand but Wilkinson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wilkinson tries to land a front kick but Savelyev steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Wilkinson blocks a jab. Wilkinson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wilkinson showed some decent athleticism there. Wilkinson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Savelyev's head. Wilkinson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Savelyev is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Wilkinson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Wilkinson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilkinson lands in his opponent's guard. Wilkinson wants to control from the top but Savelyev keeps moving. Savelyev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Savelyev is looking to sinch up a triangle. Wilkinson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Savelyev's body to avoid the submission. Savelyev has instead reached around Wilkinson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Savelyev arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Konstantine Savelyev!
