Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bora Khan (ranked 98 p4p, 625 weight class) and Murilo Ninja (ranked 12 p4p, 90 weight class). Khan comes to the cage accompanied by Tim McGraw - Live Like You Were Dying. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bora Khan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Murilo Ninja! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ninja looks for a takedown but Khan sprawls well. Khan misses with a wild body shot. Ninja misses the jab. Ninja jabs Khan to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ninja tries to clinch up. Ninja fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ninja slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Ninja ducks right into an uppercut from Khan. Ninja shoots and misses and Khan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bora Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Murilo Ninja. Ninja ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Khan lands a lovely overhand right. Khan misses with a body shot.
Khan throws a body shot but no joy. Ninja shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Khan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ninja on the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Khan misses. Khan on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ninja tries to clinch but Khan moves away and Khan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Khan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Grunt in the buildup to the fight. Ninja takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bora Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Khan throws out a loose jab but Ninja uses good head movement to avoid it. Ninja fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Khan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ninja has his takedown stuffed and Khan counters with a nice body shot. Khan throws a body punch but Ninja moves out of range. Ninja feints the counter takedown. Khan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ninja. Khan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Ninja fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ninja tries to clinch and Khan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ninja misses with a hook to the body
and Khan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Khan jabbing away but nothing is landing. Khan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ninja. Khan misses with a straight right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan connects with a nice looking jab.
Ninja shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Khan as he jumps to the side. Khan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Khan ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Khan throws a jab but it's blocked by Ninja. Ninja feints the counter takedown. Ninja throws a jab when Khan was well out of range. Ninja shoots for a takedown but Khan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ninja looks to score with a jab to the body but Khan is just out of range. Ninja misses with a left hand and Khan counters with a right hand to the body. Khan misses the shot to the body. Khan swings for the body but Ninja moves out of range.
A nice side step and Ninja releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Khan misses with a hook. Ninja steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Khan. Khan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ninja manages to avoid it. Khan misses with a straight left. Ninja will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ninja walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan cracks Ninja with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Ninja connects with the punch. Khan is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Ninja rushes Khan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Khan misses with a short punch on the inside. Ninja is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Khan can't fight it off and eventually Ninja manages to take the fight to the floor. Khan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ninja wants to control from the top but Khan keeps moving. Ninja throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Khan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Khan pulls Ninja in close to his closed guard and prevents Ninja from doing any damage or advancing position. Ninja postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ninja working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Khan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ninja is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan trying to keep a closed guard but Ninja is proving a slippery customer.
Khan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Khan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Khan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ninja throws a big elbow that misses. Ninja wants to control from the top but Khan keeps moving. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Khan is pulling down on Ninja's head to control his posture.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Khan walks into a stiff left hand from Ninja. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bora Khan dominated that round. That's time! Khan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ninja throws a big shot that misses. Khan throwing a counter right hand but Ninja manages to avoid it. Murilo Ninja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Bora Khan has been cut. Ninja connects with a nice looking jab.

Khan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ninja is in Khan's guard. Khan seems keen to control Ninja's posture. Ninja throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ninja scoring with punches to the head and body. Ninja postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ninja not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ninja is looking to work some ground and pound but Khan has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ninja looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ninja scoring with punches to the head and body. Ninja working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Khan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ninja's guard. Khan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ninja is looking to stand up but Khan isn't so interested in that idea. Khan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan won't allow Ninja to get back to his feet. Khan throwing strikes from guard but Ninja blocks nicely. Ninja is looking to stand up but Khan isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ninja is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ninja throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Khan's waist but Khan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ninja off to one side. Khan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bora Khan is winning the standup battle so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan takes one to the side of the head.
Ninja throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khan. Khan lands a body shot.
Ninja moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Khan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bora Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Murilo Ninja. Khan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ninja has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Ninja moves out of range of the strikes. Ninja changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Ninja manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. An attempted straight right counter from Khan misses the target. Khan slips a straight right by Ninja. Khan moves into range and connects with a jab. Ninja gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ninja takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ninja is breathing heavily. Ninja closes the distance but Khan moves to the side enabling Khan to counter with a crisp jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ninja stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ninja throws a poor cross that misses
and Khan counters with a right hand to the body. Khan jabs at Ninja's body. A slow jab from Ninja misses its intended target. A quick step to the side and Khan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Khan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ninja. Khan scores with a jab to the head.
A jab from Khan finds it's way through Ninja's defenses.
Ninja is rocked! Khan lands a brutal uppercut that launches Ninja off his feet! Ninja tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bora Khan! Bora Khan retains his middleweight title! A very excited looking Bora Khan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
