The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Matariki moves into the clinch successfully.
Jello pulls guard effortlessly. Jello manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Matariki manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jello has the hooks in. Matariki is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Matariki turns into Jello and is now in his guard.

Jello has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matariki is working away from the top position though. Jello is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
