Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Seo Boy (ranked 5483 p4p, 4308 weight class) and Davo Mate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seo Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Davo Mate!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mate wants to stand up but Boy is controlling him.
Boy stands up and waves to Mate to follow him.
Boy lands a glancing blow to the side of Mate's head.
Boy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mate manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Boy controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mate is working an open guard so Boy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Mate gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Boy.
Boy scores with a jab to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mate lands a nice looking body kick.
Mate ducks right into an uppercut from Boy.
Boy feints and as Mate raises his hands in defense, Boy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Boy forces his way into half guard.
Boy slows the pace down in half guard.
Mate is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Boy scores with a couple of nice shots.
Boy stops Mate from getting back to his feet.
Boy is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Boy passes to side control.
Boy has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mate!

Mate is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Boy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Boy looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Boy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Mate is trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boy controlling the pace for now.

Boy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mate is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

You get the feeling that Mate really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Seo Boy dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mate closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A head kick misses from Mate.
Boy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Mate smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Mate pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Boy back to the cage. Mate follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mate tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Boy throwing a counter right hand but Mate manages to avoid it.
Boy blocks a head kick by Mate.
Mate takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mate throws a right hand that Boy ducks under and follows up with a left that Boy also avoids with ease.
Boy swings for the body but Mate moves out of range.

Boy drops an elbow to the side of Mate's head.

Boy decides to stand back up. Boy steps back and let's Mate get back to his feet.
Boy scores with a decent looking hook.
Boy takes the fight into the clinch.
Boy tries to throw a body punch but Mate avoids it by throwing Boy back against the cage.
Boy presses Mate against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Nice body punch from Boy - that landed with a thud.
Boy struggles to land a body shot inside as Mate controls his hands.

Boy is working Mate over against the cage.

Boy tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mate's elbow.

Boy misses with a punch to the body.
Boy throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A left hand lands to the body for Boy.
A short body shot lands from Boy as the two fighters clinch.
Boy lands a nice shot to the body.
Boy doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Boy manages to pull guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mate gets to his feet - Boy follows without any prompting.
Mate looks to land a combination but Boy avoids it well.
Boy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Boy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Boy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mate quickly recovers to half guard.
Mate is rocked!
Boy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Mate is still in real trouble! Can Boy finish him?
Boy is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Boy is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Boy stands up from half guard.
Boy steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Mate is out on his feet! Boy sets himself and nearly takes Mate's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Seo Boy!
