Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reni Manfield (ranked 409 p4p, 656 weight class) and Romega Vartanein (ranked 62 p4p, 100 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vartanein misses with a hook.

Vartanein scores with a hook to the body. Manfield takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Manfield displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vartanein throws out the jab.

Romega Vartanein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vartanein lands with a nice body punch.
Manfield fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vartanein manages to avoid it.
Vartanein swings for the body but Manfield moves out of range.

Vartanein throws a lazy right hand but Manfield sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Manfield manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vartanein on his heels. He'll look to pass Vartanein's guard now, I'm sure.

Manfield is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vartanein is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Vartanein is looking to regain half guard here but Manfield keeps moving and retains side control.
