Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ruddo Ryokale (ranked 2606 p4p, 2984 weight class) and Aaron Petrov (ranked 328 p4p, 365 weight class). Petrov has chosen Star.One - Original Badman Feat. Takura & Assassin as his entrance music. Ruddo Ryokale has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 29 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruddo Ryokale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 42 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Petrov! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov tries to land a leg kick but Ryokale saw it coming and moves away.
Petrov tries a low kick but Ryokale avoids it. Ryokale was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Ryokale chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Petrov can pounce on him.
Ryokale takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Ryokale moves out of range of the strikes. We've been hearing reports that Ryokale has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Petrov misses with a straight right. Ryokale moves out of range as Petrov strikes. An attempted straight right counter from Ryokale misses the target. Petrov throws a hook to the side of Ryokale's head but Ryokale sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ryokale half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Decent striking displayed by Ryokale there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryokale rushes Petrov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Petrov has clasped his hands together around Ryokale's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ryokale striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Ryokale is looking for a sweep. Ryokale is trying to control Petrov's posture but Petrov avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryokale is looking to reverse the position. Petrov tries to get to his feet but Ryokale is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Petrov in his guard. Ryokale has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Petrov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ryokale has a closed guard, preventing Petrov from standing up. Petrov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ryokale has control of Petrov's left arm, preventing Petrov from doing any damage. Ryokale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Petrov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ryokale is proving hard to escape from. Ryokale escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Petrov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Petrov wants to stand but Ryokale has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryokale is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Petrov tries to stand but Ryokale is controlling from the bottom. Ryokale looking to control.

Ryokale struggling a bit here. Petrov wants to stand but Ryokale has his arm trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Petrov stands up. Aaron Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Petrov misses with an uppercut
and Ryokale counters with a shoot takedown. Petrov fights it but they end up in guard. Ryokale stands up over Petrov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Petrov keeping moving, preventing Ryokale from controlling successfully. Ryokale won't allow Petrov to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ryokale is pushing down on Petrov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Petrov is fighting to maintain full guard but Ryokale has managed to sneak the leg through. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ryokale connects with a nice short shot to Petrov's temple. Ryokale wants to take a breather but Petrov is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ruddo Ryokale will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ryokale slips a jab from Petrov. Petrov takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A head kick misses from Ryokale. Petrov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. A head kick misses from Ryokale. Ryokale defending well as Petrov loads up on a big left hand. Petrov scores with the left hand. Ryokale knows he should have avoided that one. Petrov is looking to chop away at Ryokale's legs. Petrov just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromRyokale. Petrov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ryokale counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Petrov wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryokale landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ryokale connects with a nice short shot to Petrov's temple. Petrov has one foot on Ryokale's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov misses with a looping right. Ryokale was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Ryokale displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrov throws out the jab. Petrov throws a jab when Ryokale was well out of range. Ryokale seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Petrov throws a poor cross that misses
and Ryokale counters with a lovely shot to the body. Petrov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ryokale throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Petrov misses with a left hand and Ryokale counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ryokale landing some decent shots from guard. Ryokale stops Petrov from standing up. Ryokale stands up over Petrov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryokale advances to half guard. Petrov looks like he's trying to stand up.

Ryokale drops an elbow to the side of Petrov's head. Petrov is trying to stand back up but Ryokale is controlling him
Petrov is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Ryokale controlling the action here. Ryokale looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Petrov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ryokale prevents Petrov from standing back up.
Ryokale is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ryokale lands a nice short elbow. Petrov tries to kick Ryokale off but Ryokale keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ryokale is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ryokale is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Petrov can do to turn this around? Ryokale winds up and cracks Petrov with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Petrov taking some punishment here, with Ryokale in his half guard. Petrov wants to get back to his feet. Ryokale is working for a submission of some sort.

Ryokale is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Petrov is just riding it out for now. Ryokale eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petrov taking some punishment here, with Ryokale in his half guard. Ryokale drops an elbow to the side of Petrov's head. Petrov tries to kick Ryokale off but Ryokale keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ground and pound from Ryokale. Ryokale is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Petrov sees it coming and defends easily. Ryokale seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Petrov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ryokale working over Petrov with some ground and pound. Petrov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Petrov tries to kick Ryokale off but Ryokale keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ryokale slips a nice elbow through Petrov's hands, connecting with Petrov's forehead. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ruddo Ryokale dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Petrov thows a left - swing and a miss! Ryokale is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Petrov. Petrov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryokale manages to avoid it. Ryokale scores with a three punch combo!
Petrov is rocked! Petrov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Petrov is still on wobbly legs! Can Ryokale finish him? Petrov throws a lazy uppercut
and Ryokale counters with a huge left! Petrov is in big trouble! He's backing up but Ryokale isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Petrov from any more damage. A dominating finish by Ryokale!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ruddo Ryokale!
