Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jefferson Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Woodhead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks lands a nice looking body shot.
Horrible takedown by Woodhead or perhaps it was just good defense by Hicks which made him look bad.
Hicks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Woodhead is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Woodhead really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hicks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hicks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Woodhead is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
