Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Woodhead!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks lands a nice looking body shot.
Horrible takedown by Woodhead or perhaps it was just good defense by Hicks which made him look bad.

Hicks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hicks looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Hicks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hicks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Woodhead is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Woodhead really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hicks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Woodhead takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Hicks takes a little break here. Woodhead wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Hicks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hicks is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Woodhead can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Woodhead is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Woodhead wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Hicks cracks Woodhead with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Hicks has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Woodhead is forced to tap!
