Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marko Kersikov (ranked 195 p4p, 547 weight class) and Frank Rizzo (ranked 11 p4p, 37 weight class). Kersikov comes to the cage accompanied by Hi Rez - 3 Ft Tall. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marko Kersikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frank Rizzo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzo thows a left - swing and a miss!
A little feinted left hand from Kersikov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Rizzo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kersikov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

It looks like Frank Rizzo has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Frank Rizzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Marko Kersikov will probably get the nod.

Rizzo shoots for a double leg takedown but Kersikov sprawls well. He's pushed Rizzo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rizzo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kersikov did well to prevent Rizzo getting side control.
