Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brad Pfanne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chance San! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! San is looking to clinch but Pfanne is avoiding it.
San closes the distance and clinches. San tries for a takedown but Pfanne manages to get underhooks.
Pfanne is trying to work for a single leg takedown but San pulls him back up using the underhooks. San looking for a takedown. San tries to score a body lock takedown but Pfanne shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Brad Pfanne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance San. Pfanne tries for a takedown. No joy.
We've been hearing reports that Pfanne has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. San drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pfanne gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pfanne keeping full guard, as San tries to pass. and Pfanne counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Pfanne leaves San with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Pfanne gets tackled into the cage by San. San maintains the clinch. San lands a takedown into guard.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pfanne defends it well. San wants to free his trapped foot but Pfanne is holding on for dear life with his legs. San is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Pfanne reverses the position - he's now on top in San's guard. Chance San has got the better of the ground game so far. Pfanne is in close to San's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pfanne's corner. There ya go! There ya go! San wants to sweep but no luck. Pfanne connects with a couple of short punches. There's a bit of a scramble here and now San is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pfanne has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. San is working away from the top position though. San is looking to stall here but Pfanne recovers full guard. San trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. San trying to control the position from guard on top but Pfanne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. San stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pfanne swivels though and keeps the full guard. San is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. San is looking to pass into half guard but Pfanne pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Pfanne is in guard. San looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pfanne is one step ahead there. Pfanne postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pfanne distracts San with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pfanne scoring with some ground and pound. Pfanne lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pfanne chips away with some ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. He's being very persistent here but Pfanne manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Pfanne stopping the sweep attempt from San. And that is the end of the round. That was a close second round but I would say that Brad Pfanne will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
San shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than San was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! San postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
San thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. San throwing shots but missing, from side control. San working the ground and pound but Pfanne is defending the strikes. My spies in Fighting Industrial Complex inform me that San has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! San tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pfanne's legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. San goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pfanne has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for San but great work by Pfanne. Pfanne cracks San with an elbow. That is naaassty. Pfanne scoring with punches and elbows. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pfanne lands a decent elbow from side control.

San struggling a bit here. San tries to improve position but can't. Pfanne in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and San looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Pfanne turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
