Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Waylon Jones (ranked 4198 p4p, 4204 weight class) and Jorge Linares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Linares shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Linares fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Linares is now in Jones's guard.
Jones wants to sweep here but Linares controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones is pulling down on Linares's head to control his posture.

Jones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jorge Linares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Linares shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Linares keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Linares feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
