Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cheeks Clapperton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Miller!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clapperton tries for a takedown but Miller circles away easily
and Miller counters with an outside leg kick.
Miller swats away the attempt to clinch by Clapperton.
Clapperton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Miller swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Clapperton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Miller lands with a nice body punch.
Miller darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Clapperton shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clapperton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miller keeps working.
Clapperton throws a strike but Miller avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Clapperton tries to free his leg and advance position but Miller is retaining full guard.

Clapperton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Clapperton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Miller wants to stand up but Clapperton is controlling him.
Miller tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Clapperton scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Clapperton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clapperton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Miller drops Clapperton with a naaaaasty hook - Clapperton is in real trouble here! Miller dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
