Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Morrow (ranked 4395 p4p, 4392 weight class) and Kiribayama Tetsuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Morrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kiribayama Tetsuo!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tetsuo moves into the clinch successfully.

Tetsuo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Morrow has Tetsuo pulled in close to control his posture.
Tetsuo trying to control but Morrow is working from the bottom.
Morrow tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Morrow is pulling down on Tetsuo's head. It's preventing any offense from Tetsuo, at least for the moment.
Morrow looking for a sweep. Not yet Morrow, not yet.
Tetsuo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tetsuo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Morrow wants to stand up but Tetsuo is controlling him.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Tetsuo slips nicely into half guard.
Tetsuo is trying to control the action in half guard but Morrow is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morrow tries to get to full guard but Tetsuo has control of the leg.
Tetsuo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Morrow is trying to maintain the position but Tetsuo is very close to passing his half guard.
Morrow is looking for a sweep. Tetsuo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Morrow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tetsuo pinned against the cage. Tetsuo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tetsuo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tetsuo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morrow tries to avoid it but Tetsuo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morrow to the ground. Morrow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tetsuo clinches up with Morrow and pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Morrow's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Tetsuo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Morrow sneaks out the side door and pushes Tetsuo away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Morrow gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Tetsuo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Morrow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Morrow swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Morrow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Morrow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Morrow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Morrow tries to clinch but Tetsuo is having none of it.
Tetsuo tries to counter by closing the distance.
Morrow shoots in for a takedown but Tetsuo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Morrow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tetsuo.

Tetsuo clinches up with Morrow and pushes him back against the cage.

Morrow dives in and grabs Tetsuo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tetsuo pushes down on Morrow's head and hops out.

Morrow tries to sprawl but Tetsuo drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Morrow has one foot on Tetsuo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Morrow is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tetsuo closes the distance and clinches.
Morrow is trying to break the clinch but Tetsuo is controlling him.

Tetsuo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Morrow can't fight it off and eventually Tetsuo manages to take the fight to the floor. Morrow looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Morrow keeping moving, preventing Tetsuo from controlling successfully.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kiribayama Tetsuo dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tetsuo misses the shot to the body.
Tetsuo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morrow sprawls well. Morrow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tetsuo gets slowly back to his feet.
Tetsuo fails with a takedown attempt.
Tetsuo blocks a head kick by Morrow.
Morrow goes for a double leg but Tetsuo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tetsuo continues to drive forward.
Tetsuo with the counter takedown but Morrow avoids it easily.
Morrow is trying to pull guard but Tetsuo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Morrow slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Morrow decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tetsuo, up you get!

Tetsuo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Morrow is trying to defend but Tetsuo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Morrow kicks Tetsuo off and gets back to his feet.

Tetsuo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Morrow tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tetsuo is in Morrow's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A close second round but Kiribayama Tetsuo will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Tetsuo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tetsuo lands in his opponent's guard.

Morrow wriggles free and stands up.

Tetsuo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Morrow tries to pull guard but Tetsuo forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Morrow drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tetsuo pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Tetsuo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Tetsuo.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tetsuo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Morrow got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tetsuo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morrow has managed to get both his arms back between Tetsuo's legs - danger averted.
Tetsuo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kiribayama Tetsuo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tetsuo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
