Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stud Muffin (ranked 5954 p4p, 4418 weight class) and Lachlan Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stud Muffin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lachlan Peters! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peters rushes Muffin and presses him up against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Muffin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Muffin stops a takedown attempt from Peters.
Peters is trying to break free. Muffin doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Peters wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Peters blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Muffin wants to get back to striking at distance but Peters won't allow it.
Peters is defending well against a takedown attempt. Peters wants to take the fight to the mat but Muffin manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Muffin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Muffin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Peters fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Muffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Muffin wants it to stay on the feet. Stud Muffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lachlan Peters. Peters rushes Muffin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Peters tries for a takedown but Muffin manages to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Muffin is trying to control the position but Peters postures up. Peters sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Muffin's guard. Peters looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peters thows a huge punch but Muffin dodges it nicely.
Muffin looks like he's trying to stand up.
Peters decides to return to a standing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters tries for a takedown but Muffin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Muffin tries to close the distance and clinch but Peters swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Muffin leaves Peters with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Muffin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Peters only half commits to the counter leg kick. Muffin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peters but Peters pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peters closes the distance and clinches. Peters jumps guard.
Peters is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Muffin is aware though and is defending well. Muffin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Muffin wants to pass the guard but Peters is keeping the position. Peters seems keen to control Muffin's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Muffin looking to pass the guard. Muffin gets to his feet. Peters looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Muffin checks a low kick from Peters. Muffin attempts a counter takedown but Peters avoids it well and moves away. Peters shoots in but no luck this time. Peters closes the distance and clinches. Muffin can't find room to land a body shot as Peters controls the action.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lachlan Peters dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Peters has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Muffin after a bit of a struggle. Peters tries to break the clinch but Muffin is controlling the position. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Peters has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Peters is stalling here.

Muffin shoots in for a takedown but Peters shows good takedown defense. Muffin tries to clinch there but Peters circles away.
Muffin goes for a double leg but Peters avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Peters continues to drive forward. Muffin tries to pull guard but Peters won't allow it.

Peters is looking to take this one to the mat. Muffin jumps guard but Peters stands there with Muffin around his waist. Muffin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Peters has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Peters is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Muffin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Muffin has Peters pressed against the cage, preventing Peters from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Muffin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Peters uses from the top position. Muffin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Muffin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Peters has him pressed against the cage. Peters will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Muffin up against the cage. Stud Muffin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lachlan Peters is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Muffin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stud Muffin. I think Peters has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
