Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Sterling (ranked 1611 p4p, 1674 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 141 p4p, 147 weight class). Sterling comes into the arena with Snake by Lil Keed blaring out of the sound system. Marco Polo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrian Sterling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marco Polo! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sterling gets a double leg takedown into Polo's guard. Polo thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Sterling controls from within his opponent's guard. Polo can't keep his opponent in guard - Sterling advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sterling in particular looking to stall. Polo tries to roll over but Sterling keeps him under control. Sterling controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sterling's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Polo punching from the bottom.

Sterling in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Polo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sterling!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Adrian Sterling! Adrian Sterling decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
