Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dumau Latto (ranked 5122 p4p, 3526 weight class) and Aaron Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Thompson's choice of entrance music: PAID MY DUES. Aaron Thompson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dumau Latto's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dumau Latto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aaron Thompson! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A bone on bone clash there as Thompson blocks the leg kick.
That kick from Latto tenderised Thompson's leg. Thompson is trying to keep his angry face on. Thompson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Latto.
Nice uppercut there from Latto. Latto misses the jab. Thompson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Latto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thompson walks away with a smile on his face. Latto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Thompson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Aaron Thompson has been cut. Thompson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Latto swats him away and circles back towards the center. Thompson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Latto pinned against the cage. Latto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice straight punches there by Latto. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Latto. Latto throws a good cross that connects.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Latto.
Latto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Thompson clinches up with Latto and pushes him back against the cage. Thompson missing with knees to the body.
Latto prevents a body shot from Thompson. Thompson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Latto is defending well. Latto is trying to drag Thompson to the mat but Thompson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Latto is trying to push Thompson away but Thompson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Latto tries to pull guard but Thompson holds him up against the cage and eventually Latto drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dumau Latto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thompson looking for a takedown. Latto wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Latto is trying to push Thompson away but Thompson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Latto is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Thompson lands a nice elbow. Thompson is stalling here.
Thompson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Latto.
Thompson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Latto gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Thompson. Latto has Thompson pressed against the cage, preventing Thompson from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Thompson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Latto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Thompson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Latto's waist but Latto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thompson off to one side. A punch combination from Latto misses. Latto throws a body shot but no joy. Thompson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Latto. Thompson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thompson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Danga de danga de dang - Thompson scores with a four punch combination! Latto takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Latto lands a nice shot to the body.
Latto keeps the fight on the outside. Latto pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Thompson back to the cage. Latto follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Thompson looks winded! The fight stays on the outside here - Thompson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Latto connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Thompson momentarily.
