The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vasilios to the ground. Black is now in Vasilios's guard.

Vasilios looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black advances to half guard.
Vasilios is looking for a sweep. Black is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Black passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Vasilios!
Vasilios bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Black looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Black throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Vasilios escapes and throws Black 's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vasilios trying to control the position but Black is working away.
Black is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vasilios lands an elbow.
Vasilios wants to lay and pray for a moment but Black keeps working.
Vasilios scores with a couple of short elbows.

Vasilios working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Vasilios is looking to take a break and control but Black is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Black looks to move to half guard but instead Vasilios has passed into mount! Damn!

Black is trying to escape the mount.
Vasilios in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Vasilios manages to capitalize on a mistake by Black to take his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Vasilios's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Vasilios is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
The referee is taking a good look at Black as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Vasilios!
