Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Dunn (ranked 3590 p4p, 4527 weight class) and Timothy Combs (ranked 368 p4p, 436 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Dunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Timothy Combs! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Combs will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dunn checks the leg kick. Mike Dunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dunn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Combs moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Combs scores with a shot to the body.
Combs uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dunn. Dunn connects with a nice looking jab.
Combs finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Dunn definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A big left from Dunn misses. Dunn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Combs circles away quickly and effectively. Combs dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Combs slips a jab and a cross from Dunn.
Dunn thuds a left hand into Combs's body. Combs thuds his right hand into Dunn's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Combs takes a swing at Dunn's ribcage but misses. A low kick from Combs misses and Dunn counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Dunn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Combs. Combs swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd cheers as Combs lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dunn doesn't seem phased though. A punch combination from Dunn misses. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Combs! But no joy. Combs closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Dunn wants to sweep but Combs has passed to side control! Dunn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Combs on the ground. Combs is looking to take a break and control but Dunn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Combs lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Combs has control of an arm but Dunn manages to advance to Combs's back! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Combs is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Dunn.
Combs rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Combs manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Combs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Combs trying to control the position here. Combs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Our spies down at at Triumph Over Fear inform us that Combs has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Combs is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Dunn has his hands clasped together but Combs extends and breaks Dunn's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Combs.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Timothy Combs! After the fight, Timothy Combs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
