Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tang Cao (ranked 2970 p4p, 23575 weight class) and Harrison Hughes (ranked 413 p4p, 0 weight class). Cao comes to the cage accompanied by Song of the Waking City - Jucifer. Hughes has chosen Getting Drunk and Fallin' Down as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tang Cao ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harrison Hughes! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick lands for Hughes.
Cao with a nice calf kick. Hughes tries to land a leg kick but Cao saw it coming and moves away.
Hughes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hughes staying out of range there. Hughes dodges the punch combination from Cao .
Hughes with a hook. Cao avoids the head kick by Hughes.
It looked like Cao wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Cao on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hughes. Hughes obviously looking to wear him down.
Cao rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hughes moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hughes throws a body kick that misses. Cao throws a nice looking combination but Hughes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hughes is looking to score with low kicks. Cao 's corner calls for a 1-2. Cao obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hughes throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Cao misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hughes.

That's one minute gone in the round. A slapping leg kick lands for Cao .
Hughes throws a leg kick but Cao sees it coming and checks it nicely. Cao takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hughes tries a head kick but it misses.
Hughes thuds his right hand into Cao 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Hughes clobbers Cao with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Hughes scores with a shot to the body.
Cao moves out of range of the body kick from Hughes.
Cao seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Cao swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cao dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hughes. That did some damage! Hughes's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cao under the eye. Hughes walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cao checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hughes throws a low kick, looking for Cao 's leg but Cao calmly moves out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A low kick from Hughes misses and Hughes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hughes connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Cao goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Hughes. Hughes scores with a head kick. Cao tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Hughes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cao lands with an overhand left. Hughes tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cao is able to avoid easily. Hughes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cao . That did some damage! Hughes misses with a kick to the body.

Hughes throws a sloppy head kick and Cao moves out of range easily. Cao getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hughes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hughes tries to counter with a clinch but Cao shakes him off and moves away. A nice inside leg kick there by Cao . That's going to slow Hughes down. Cao tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hughes was well out of range. Poor timing from Cao . Hughes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A nice leg kick lands there from Hughes. Hughes goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Hughes on the wrong end of a nice jab. Cao looks to throw the jab but Hughes is out of range. Hughes was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Hughes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cao seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. As Hughes looks to move away, Cao throws a big counter combo but Hughes just gets out of the way. Hughes throws a leg kick that is checked and Cao counters with a nice uppercut. Cao fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hughes on the side of the head. Hughes throws a head kick that misses. Cao misses with a head kick.
A low kick from Hughes misses and Cao counters with an inside leg kick. Cao circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hughes drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Cao follows Hughes to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
