Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arild Moen (ranked 4095 p4p, 3558 weight class) and Van Peta (ranked 444 p4p, 408 weight class). Peta comes into a darkened arena with his song building. O Retrô Ativo - Heróis do Status Quo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arild Moen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Van Peta! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peta shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Peta drops an elbow to the side of Moen's head. Peta looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Moen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Peta not landing any meaningful shots this time. Peta thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moen's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are battling for position here. Moen manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Peta is looking to work some ground and pound but Moen has wrist control. Peta lands a couple of elbows. Peta throwing strikes but missing. Peta is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Peta defends well. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Moen is on top in guard.

Moen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Peta manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Moen has Peta in his guard. Peta is in close to Moen's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've been hearing good reports from Moen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Moen looking to sweep here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Peta scoring with punches to the head and body. Peta connects with a couple of short punches. Peta postures up and lands a big shot to Moen's brow. Peta seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Peta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peta has managed to get both his arms back between Moen's legs - danger averted. Peta is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Peta stands up over Moen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Peta is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Moen is looking for a triangle but Peta pushes his legs off easily.

Van Peta dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Peta throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Moen thows a left - swing and a miss! Peta gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Excellent takedown into side control there by Peta. You can see the frustration on Moen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Peta cracks Moen with an elbow. That is naaassty. Peta connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Moen some visible discomfort.

Oh, Moen is hurt! He's hurt bad - Peta fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Moen from any more punishment! Congratulations to Peta! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Van Peta! Van Peta decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
