Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Nead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Nead!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nead gets caught flat footed, as Sims shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sims gets to his feet - Nead follows without any prompting.
Sims moves into range and clinches up with Nead.
Sims is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nead can't fight it off and eventually Sims manages to take the fight to the floor. Nead looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Nead looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sims has picked Nead up and slammed him! Nead can't keep hold of the triangle and Sims manages to pass to side control!
Nead is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sims tries to score with some ground and pound. Nead controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Sims tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nead's legs.
Nead tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Nead manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sims wants to get back to his feet.
Nead seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sims is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
