Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between ReaperLord Tyberos (ranked 1431 p4p, 1264 weight class) and Genkei Takahashi (ranked 133 p4p, 119 weight class). Tyberos comes to the cage accompanied by Today We Hunt!. ReaperLord Tyberos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, ReaperLord Tyberos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genkei Takahashi! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi with a body punch. A glancing blow. Takahashi throws a leg kick which misses Tyberos's front leg but catches the back leg as Tyberos tries to avoid it. Tyberos lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Takahashi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Takahashi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tyberos. Takahashi throws a jab when Tyberos was well out of range. Takahashi defending well as Tyberos loads up on a big left hand. Takahashi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Tyberos gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Takahashi tries to sprawl but Tyberos drives through with a takedown into half guard. Takahashi works his way to full guard. Good work. Takahashi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tyberos trying to control but Takahashi is working from the bottom. Takahashi is looking for a triangle but Tyberos pushes his legs off easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Takahashi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Takahashi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Takahashi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tyberos defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyberos wants to control from the top but Takahashi keeps moving. Takahashi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyberos is aware though and is defending well. Tyberos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tyberos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Takahashi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tyberos throws a big elbow that misses. Tyberos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Takahashi's guard. Takahashi trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takahashi is looking to improve his position.
Tyberos throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Takahashi to regain full guard. Takahashi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tyberos. Takahashi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tyberos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takahashi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tyberos lands a couple of digs. Takahashi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyberos is aware though and is defending well. Tyberos trying to control but Takahashi is working from the bottom. Tyberos makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tyberos cracks Takahashi with a solid left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyberos lands a couple of digs. We've been hearing that Tyberos has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tyberos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tyberos postures up and lands a big shot to Takahashi's brow. Tyberos is fighting to break Takahashi's control of his arms but Takahashi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Takahashi controls Tyberos momentarily but Tyberos frees himself. Takahashi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tyberos defends it easily. Tyberos keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Takahashi's head. Tyberos is working Takahashi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Tyberos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Takahashi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

ReaperLord Tyberos dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Tyberos swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Takahashi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Tyberos loads up on a big right hand but Takahashi slips the punch. Tyberos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Takahashi can do to turn this around? A swing and a miss from Takahashi. Tyberos staying out of range there. Takahashi doesn't manage to clinch there - Tyberos circles away.
A big right from Takahashi misses. Takahashi connects with a leg kick. Takahashi scores with a shot to the body.
Tyberos takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Takahashi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Decent striking displayed by Tyberos there. Tyberos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Takahashi is trying to defend but Tyberos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tyberos winds up and cracks Takahashi with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Tyberos wants to control but Takahashi is keeping him busy. Tyberos prevents Takahashi from improving his position. Takahashi felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Tyberos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Tyberos scoring with some ground and pound. Tyberos trying to control the position from guard on top but Takahashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Takahashi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tyberos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takahashi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tyberos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Takahashi is rocked! Tyberos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Takahashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tyberos has managed to get both his arms back between Takahashi's legs - danger averted. Takahashi is still in real trouble! Can Tyberos finish him? Takahashi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyberos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyberos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tyberos connects with a couple of short punches. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
ReaperLord Tyberos dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Tyberos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Takahashi. A quick step to the side and Tyberos tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Takahashi seems to have recovered his senses. Takahashi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Takahashi lands with a right hand. A slow jab from Tyberos misses its intended target. Takahashi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tyberos moves forwards but Takahashi connects with a nice, crisp jab. Takahashi staying out of range there. Takahashi scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Takahashi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tyberos. Takahashi does a little dance to reset his feet. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Takahashi! But no joy. Tyberos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Takahashi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Takahashi is controlling Tyberos's position as best he can from this difficult position. Takahashi is trying to maintain the position but Tyberos is very close to passing his half guard. Tyberos working over Takahashi with some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tyberos connects with a nice short shot to Takahashi's temple. Tyberos scores with a big shot! Takahashi's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Takahashi! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
