The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Valentino Santiago has been cut.

Otgonbayar moves into range and clinches up with Santiago.
Santiago tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Otgonbayar smiles and moves away.

Otgonbayar instigates a clinch.

Santiago has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Otgonbayar uses from the top position.
Otgonbayar wanted to stand there but Santiago had control of the position.
Santiago is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santiago works his foot free and advances to mount.
Otgonbayar stops Santiago from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Otgonbayar is trying to escape the mount but Santiago keeps good control and instead manages to take Otgonbayar's back.

Otgonbayar is trying to defend against the choke here but Santiago has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Santiago Tightens the hold and Otgonbayar taps out furiously! Santiago displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
