Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Miller (ranked 4352 p4p, 5827 weight class) and Andrew Childers (ranked 460 p4p, 503 weight class). Joshua Miller has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joshua Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrew Childers! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Childers. Miller looks to throw the jab but Childers is out of range. Miller stuns Childers with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Joshua Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller closes the distance and clinches. Miller misses with a knee to the head. Miller has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Miller lands with a short shot to the head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Miller. Childers jumps guard but Miller stands there with Childers around his waist. Childers gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller scores with a shoulder strike. Childers avoiding damage as Miller throws knees to the body.
Childers fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Joshua Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Childers. Miller with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Childers jumps guard but Miller turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Childers manages to break the clinch.
Childers walks into a stiff left hand from Miller. Miller throws a good cross that connects.
Miller misses with a body shot.
Miller throws out a powerful jab. Joshua Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Childers tries for a takedown but Miller circles away easily and Miller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Miller's jab looks to have found its range, popping Childers under the eye. Miller throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Miller listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Miller jabbing away but nothing is landing. Childers thinks about the counter body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Childers. Miller misses with a few strikes there.
Childers closes the distance looking to clinch and Miller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Miller connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Miller thuds his right hand into Childers's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Childers is rocked! Childers closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Childers is still on wobbly legs! Can Miller finish him? Miller is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Miller moves into the clinch. Miller with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Childers fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller scores with a shoulder strike. Miller stalls. Miller scores a nice knee to the body.
Childers looks winded! Miller lands a big knee! That's hurt Childers! Oh, he's all over the place! Miller lands another knee that sends Childers to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joshua Miller! Joshua Miller was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
