Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hiruki Nakeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jin fooshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiruki Nakeda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, jin fooshi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakeda forces fooshi back against the ropes and clinches.
fooshi wants to break the clinch but can't.
Nakeda avoiding damage.

Nakeda wants the takedown. fooshi is fighting it off but Nakeda persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in fooshi's guard against the ropes.

fooshi wants to get back to his feet but Nakeda is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Nakeda has fooshi pressed against the ropes, preventing fooshi from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Nakeda ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nakeda no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nakeda's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nakeda takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Nakeda gets a takedown into half guard.
fooshi tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
fooshi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nakeda is working away from the top position though.
fooshi is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Nakeda is staying active.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
fooshi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nakeda's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nakeda's back!

fooshi doesn't have the hooks in and Nakeda manages to turn into his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

fooshi is trying to hold Nakeda in close to prevent damage but Nakeda has managed to pass into half guard.

fooshi is looking to control Nakeda's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can fooshi avoid being mounted?

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nakeda tries to pass the half guard into mount. fooshi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
fooshi lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.

fooshi is looking for a sweep. Nakeda is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
fooshi pushes Nakeda off looking to stand but Nakeda dives back in and keeps control.
Nakeda is controlling the pace.

Nakeda is trying to control. fooshi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakeda's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Nakeda lands with a short shot to the head.
fooshi is trying to force a seperation but Nakeda has the dominant position.
Nakeda jumps guard but fooshi stands there with Nakeda around his waist. Nakeda gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Nakeda has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics fooshi uses from the top position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

fooshi throws and elbow that misses. Nakeda uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in fooshi's guard. Nice move by Nakeda!
Nakeda wants to control from the top but fooshi keeps moving.
fooshi is trying to control the position but Nakeda postures up.

fooshi wants to stand and escape but Nakeda is having none of it.

Hiruki Nakeda overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
fooshi strikes from the bottom but Nakeda passes into mount!

Nakeda seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down fooshi for as long as he can get away with.

Nakeda has hold of fooshi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and fooshi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
fooshi sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Nakeda prevents fooshi from improving his position.

Nakeda is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so fooshi is just riding it out for now. Nakeda eventually gives up the hold.
Nakeda is keen to just control but fooshi is a slippery customer.
jin fooshi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hiruki Nakeda is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Hiruki Nakeda showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nakeda, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
