Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guy River (ranked 347 p4p, 536 weight class) and White Rain (ranked 55 p4p, 84 weight class). River comes to the cage accompanied by Gabon National Anthem. Rain has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Guy River! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, White Rain! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! River lands a jab to the head.
Rain takes a shot to the body in his stride.
River darts in and clinches Rain up against the cage. River lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Rain. Rain avoiding damage as River throws knees to the body.
Rain manages to break the clinch.
River gets a clinch. Rain tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Rain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. River closes the distance and clinches. River escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
River dips down and scores with a jab to the body. River connects with a nice looking jab.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rain pushes River up against the cage in a clinch. River swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rain tries to pull guard but River forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Rain is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables River to keep the fight standing. Rain throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rivers head. River struggles to land a body shot inside as Rain controls his hands.

Rain jumps into guard, dragging River to the mat.
River stands and steps away. Rain gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A nice leg kick lands there from River. River stuns Rain with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. River misses with a low kick.

A countering left hand to the body from Rain misses. River misses with a straight right. Rain is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Rain closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Rain misses with a hook
and River makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Rain moves out of range of the body kick. Rain doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. River keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like White Rain has been cut. A jab from River misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. River throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. River moves into range and clinches up with Rain. Rain ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rain no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rain has an active guard here but River has managed to pass into half guard.
Rain wants to sweep but River has passed to side control! River stands up and beckons Rain to his feet. Rain drops his hands momentarily and River takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. River tries to close the distance and clinch but Rain swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. River gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rain is trying to pull guard but River has him pressed against the cage. River works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rain on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by River. River obviously looking to wear him down.
Rain lands a nice shot that snaps River's head back.
This has been an exciting period of action! River tries a low kick but Rain avoids it. Rain takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

River is looking to counter with a shot to the body. River throws a lazy uppercut
and River takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The fight moves into the clinch position. River breaks the clinch.
River throws a nice inside leg kick. River misses with a body shot.
Guy River seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. River lands with a straight right. Rain didn't see that one coming. River connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Guy River dominated that round. The cut man is working on White Rain's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. River lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. River throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. River tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rain was well out of range. Poor timing from River. River connects with a crisp jab. River misses with an uppercut
and Rain counters with a lovely straight right hand! River walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rain checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Good work by Rain as he checks the leg kick. As River backs off Rain throws a huge counter combo but River manages to avoid it all. River ducks under a wild hook from Rain. Rain circles away from the clinch attempt and Rain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rain lands a glancing blow to the side of River's head. River changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rain cracks River with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. River throws a solid leg kick but Rain takes the impact on his shin and smiles at River. River thuds a left hand into Rain's body. A chopping leg kick lands by River. River throws a head kick but Rain moves out of range.

River is rocked! Rain keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Rain flicks out a counter leg kick but River steps away. River delivers a nice body kick. River smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. River wants to land a leg kick but Rain is out of range. A little jabbing left from Rain on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Rain misses with a hook. River ducked under it nicely. Rain tries to clinch but River moves out of range. Guy River is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. River tries to clinch up and Rain counters with a lovely straight right hand! River is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rain can do to turn this around? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rain checks the leg kick nicely there.

River tries to clinch up but Rain circles away and keeps his distance. Rain gets in close and tags River with a short punch that almost sends River to the mat! Oh River is in big trouble! He turns his back on Rain, trying to create some distance but Rain rushes him, striking wildly and River goes down! The referee tackles Rain into the cage to end the fight! Rain is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). White Rain! An out of breath White Rain thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
