Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Batt (ranked 4270 p4p, 5002 weight class) and Jerry Zonta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Batt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MOTTO. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dylan Batt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Zonta! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Batt scores with a shoulder strike. Batt gets a trip takedown into half guard. Zonta flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Batt prevents Zonta from improving his position. Zonta is trying to control but can't.
Batt content to control rather than advance. Batt trying to pass the guard but Zonta defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Batt prevents Zonta from improving his position. Zonta is looking to control Batt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Zonta avoid being mounted? Zonta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zonta actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zonta does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Zonta actively working from the bottom here. Zonta looking for a kimura from the bottom but Batt passes into side control! Batt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Zonta is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Batt tries to advance to mount but can't. Zonta sneaks back into half guard. Batt is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Batt trying to control the action but Zonta is working from the bottom. Batt controlling the action here. Batt is working for a kimura but Zonta is defending it quite comfortably.
Batt is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batt manages to capitalize on a mistake by Zonta to take his back! Batt has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Zonta has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Batt controls the action. Batt working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. A bit of a pause in the action here. Batt controlling the positon. Zonta tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zonta trying to get back to his feet but Batt is in full control for now. Batt looking for the choke but no joy. Batt controlling from the back. Batt working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Zonta is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Batt has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Zonta taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dylan Batt! Dylan Batt decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
