Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bon Adrien De Moncey (ranked 2038 p4p, 2222 weight class) and Hong Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 292 weight class). Kong is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Open Your Third Eye. Hong Kong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 34 - 23 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bon Adrien De Moncey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hong Kong! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Moncey fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kong to the ground. De Moncey is now in Kong's guard. Kong wants to sweep but no luck. Kong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. De Moncey is looking to improve his position.
De Moncey looking for submissions off his back. Kong is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and De Moncey defends it well. The fighters are battling for position here. De Moncey manages to regain full guard. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. De Moncey swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kong working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Kong wants to control from the top but De Moncey keeps moving. De Moncey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kong wants to pass the guard but De Moncey is keeping the position. Kong stands and throws De Moncey's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. De Moncey is not content to let Kong control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kong wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by De Moncey, who protects the arm well. De Moncey gets back to half guard. De Moncey is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kong pulls his head out easily. De Moncey is defending against the submission attempts here by Kong.

That's three minutes gone in the round. De Moncey wants to get back to full guard. Kong is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kong looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. De Moncey is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kong pulls his head out easily. Kong uses his free foot to push down on De Moncey's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for De Moncey. Kong wants to control the pace but De Moncey is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Moncey tries to reverse the position but Kong maintains control. Kong looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. De Moncey working to try and regain half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kong is trying to take his opponent's back.
Kong jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… De Moncey is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by De Moncey and Kong has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kong throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. De Moncey tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kong is in De Moncey's guard. De Moncey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kong wants to pass the guard but De Moncey is keeping the position. De Moncey has his foot on Kong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kong works his way back into a safe position though. De Moncey is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kong passes into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kong trying to control from half guard but De Moncey is working away. Kong is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hong Kong! Hong Kong decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
