Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Nedved (ranked 4419 p4p, 5513 weight class) and Benito Luigi Graffagnino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pavel Nedved! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Benito Luigi Graffagnino! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nedved avoids a kick to the body.
Nedved drops down looking for a counter takedown but Graffagnino sprawls and moves away. Graffagnino scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nedved doesn't seem bothered though. Graffagnino throws a sloppy head kick and Nedved counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nedved. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Graffagnino can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nedved controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nedved passes Graffagnino's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nedved is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Graffagnino doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nedved. Still in half guard, Nedved seems content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Graffagnino has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nedved is working away from the top position though. Nedved trying to control the pace. Nedved looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Nedved takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Graffagnino is trying to maintain the position but Nedved is very close to passing his half guard. Graffagnino has hold of Nedved's hands but Nedved slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Nedved lands strikes from half guard. Nedved is working for a kimura but Graffagnino is defending it quite comfortably.

Nedved is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Graffagnino defends it well. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nedved postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Nedved slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Nedved is pushing down on Graffagnino's leg trying to pass to half guard. Graffagnino is fighting to maintain full guard but Nedved has managed to sneak the leg through. Graffagnino is trying to control but can't.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nedved looking to control and managing it successfully. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Nedved is thwarting Graffagnino's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nedved seems to be working for a kimura but Graffagnino defends the submission attempt. Graffagnino moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pavel Nedved overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nedved scoring with punches from side control. Nedved just content to control the position. Nedved is looking to take a break and control but Graffagnino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Nedved is trying to get an arm triangle but Graffagnino is defending well. Nedved lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nedved is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Graffagnino is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nedved tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Nedved in side control, just content to control the action for now. Nedved tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Nedved staying calm.

Graffagnino wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Nedved seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Graffagnino is tapping! Wow, great finish!
