Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24756 p4p, 24698 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dawindi Buktot has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dawindi Buktot seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 20 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Buktot. Buktot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Buut counters with a thumping low kick. Buktot shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Buut manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot stops Buut from standing up. Buut managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot controlling from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buktot being controlled here momentarily. Buktot engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buktot shoots in for a takedown but Buut shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut shoots in but Buktot avoids the takedown attempt easily. Buut dives in for a single leg takedown but Buktot sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Buut closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Buktot's guard. Buktot pulls Buut in to control the position. Buut slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buktot wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Buut controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Buktot is trying to keep Buut in close.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Buktot with a poor takedown and Buut finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Buut has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Buktot fails to land the takedown. Buktot fails in his attempt to clinch. Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Buktot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut looking to pass the guard. Buut trying to control but Buktot is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buut content to stall in guard here. Buktot is looking for a triangle here but Buut uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buut remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut is continuing to stall. What's Buktot going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Buktot is letting Buut control him for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buut throws a half hearted mid kick. Buut throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Buktot tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Buut is in Buktot's guard. Buut looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Buktot is controlling Buut's posture. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Buktot avoids the head kick by Buut.
Nice body kick from Buktot. Buut shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buktot as he jumps to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut is trying to maintain the position but Buktot is very close to passing his half guard. Buut is holding on to half guard well. Buktot sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buktot has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Buut desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Buktot shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buut as he jumps to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buut gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Buktot finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Dawindi Buktot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Walay Buut is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Buktot throws a half hearted mid kick. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Buut's waist but Buut gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buktot off to one side. Buut counters with a body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Dawindi Buktot showed his dominance in that final round. Well Buut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
