Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Willson (ranked 2558 p4p, 3839 weight class) and Gleyber Torres (ranked 365 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Sam Willson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Willson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gleyber Torres!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torres drives through and clinches with Willson against the cage.
Willson misses with some punches.
Willson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Torres walks away with a smile on his face. Willson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Willson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Torres circles away from the clinch attempt.
Torres throws a counter combo.
Torres goes for a double leg but Willson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Willson continues to drive forward.
Willson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Torres counters by clinching up.

Torres is trying to trip Willson. He has hold of a leg but Willson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Torres persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Torres has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Willson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Willson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Torres, up you get!

Willson is desperately trying to improve his position but Torres has a good base and remains in mount.
Torres wants to take Willson's back here but Willson is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
You get the feeling that Willson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Torres swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Willson is now in Torres's guard. A big mistake from Torres there, giving up the dominant position!

Willson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Torres utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Willson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Torres is proving hard to escape from.

Willson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Willson tries to close the distance and clinch but Torres swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nice takedown defense from Torres. No joy for Willson on that attempt.
Despite the aggression on Torres's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Torres takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

A close round but Gleyber Torres will probably get the nod.

Willson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Torres sprawls well. Torres wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Willson gets slowly back to his feet.

Torres tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Willson defends well and Torres ends up having to push Willson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Torres is breathing heavily.

Willson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Torres will feel that in the morning.

Willson tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Torres counters with a nice double leg into side control. Willson won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Torres is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Willson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sam Willson will probably get the nod.

Well Torres has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
