Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mer Lo (ranked 2980 p4p, 2507 weight class) and Putte Ro (ranked 178 p4p, 154 weight class). Putte Ro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ro drives through with a takedown into Lo's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Ro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ro has managed to get both his arms back between Lo's legs - danger averted.
Ro looking to pass the guard.
Lo looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lo's guard.

Lo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ro pulls his head out easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lo has hold of Ro's hands but Ro slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lo is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Ro jumps into side control!
Ro in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Ro lands a few punches from side control.
Lo tries to improve position but can't.

Ro working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ro cracks Lo with a big elbow.
Lo's coaches at Deathsquad have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Lo seems a little lost for a moment, as Ro dominates the positioning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ro lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Lo trying to remain calm as Ro controls from the top position.
Lo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ro on the ground.
Ro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lo keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ro has hold of Lo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lo seems comfortable defending it but Ro has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ro couldn't care less - he's delighted!
