The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Ballard.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ballard, as that shot connected.
Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ballard tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ballard to the ground. Ballard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck for Brown with that takedown attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Ballard misses the target.
Some wild striking there from Brown.
Brown tries to bum rush Ballard with a series of wild strikes but Ballard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Brown tries for a takedown but Ballard circles away easily
and Ballard counters with a nice uppercut.
Adam Ballard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alaric Brown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ballard scores with a jab to the head.

Ballard uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Brown shoots in and drives through. Ballard sprawls well.

Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ballard, pushing him back against the cage.
Ballard blocks an elbow strike from Brown.
Ballard gets underhooks to prevent Brown's takedown attempt.

Brown is trying to break the clinch but Ballard is controlling him.
Ballard wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Brown tries to pull guard but Ballard forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

A little feinted left hand from Ballard on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Brown takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Ballard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Brown has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ballard finds it's way round the side to connect with Brown's head.
Ballard thuds his right hand into Brown's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Brown is rocked!
Ballard moves in close and cracks Brown with a massive right hand! Brown, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Ballard!
