Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vik Diek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Owain Parsons!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parsons scores with a hook.
Diek takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Parsons scores with a jab to the head.
Diek takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Diek is rocked!
Diek drops his hands momentarily. Parsons doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Diek staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Diek doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Owain Parsons!
Owain Parsons decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
