Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicandro Aloisio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anakoni Kai!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Aloisio with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kai lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kai takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Aloisio throws a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kai misses with a body kick.
Aloisio is looking to score with low kicks.
Aloisio throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kai counters with a leg kick.
Kai throws an overhand right that lands on Aloisio's shoulder, as Aloisio tries to avoid the shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aloisio checks a leg kick.
Kai looks to throw a body kick
and Aloisio counters with an outside leg kick.
Aloisio misses with an uppercut
and Kai counters with a good low kick that Aloisio was not able to check.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kai takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nicandro Aloisio.
Well Aloisio has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
