Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chinzo Toyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chinzo Toyo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Mitchell! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toyo misses with a few strikes there.
Toyo throws a right hand that Mitchell ducks under and follows up with a left that Mitchell also avoids with ease. Toyo misses with a body kick. Toyo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Toyo misses with a two punch combination.

Toyo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mitchell was well out of range. Poor timing from Toyo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mitchell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Toyo. Mitchell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Mitchell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Toyo! Mitchell moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Toyo has worked his arm free - good work by Toyo!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitchell goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Toyo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mitchell's guard! Nice work there by Toyo! Toyo is fighting to break Mitchell's control of his arms but Mitchell is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Mitchell looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mitchell throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mitchell wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mitchell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Toyo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Toyo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Toyo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mitchell looks gassed! Mitchell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Toyo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mitchell on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toyo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Toyo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mitchell counters with a series of strikes. Toyo will be more careful next time no doubt. Toyo throws a combination that misses enabling Mitchell to counter with a crisp jab. Toyo looks to land a combination but Mitchell avoids it well. Chinzo Toyo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mitchell connects with a jab. Toyo misses the body punch and Mitchell counters with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toyo lands a jab-cross combination. Toyo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mitchell counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mitchell passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Toyo! Mitchell controlling from mount. Mitchell goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Toyo is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mitchell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Toyo misses with a double jab
and Mitchell counters with a straight right hand. Mitchell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Toyo.
Toyo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mitchell stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Toyo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mitchell counters with a lovely straight right hand! Toyo misses with a combination
and Mitchell counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mitchell postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Toyo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mitchell, into his guard. Mitchell trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitchell looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Toyo won't allow Mitchell to sweep him here. Mitchell is breathing heavily. Toyo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mitchell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mitchell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mitchell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Toyo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mitchell looking for a guillotine here but Toyo defends easily.

Toyo stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitchell defending well as Toyo loads up on a big left hand. Toyo throws a low kick but Mitchell avoids it. Toyo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mitchell counters with a single leg into guard. Toyo didn't expect that. Mitchell wants to control from the top but Toyo keeps moving. Mitchell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Toyo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mitchell has Toyo in his guard. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Mitchell. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toyo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mitchell is looking for a triangle here but Toyo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mitchell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Toyo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Mitchell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Toyo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mitchell's guard. Mitchell has a closed guard, preventing Toyo from standing up. Mitchell is trying to keep Toyo in close.
Mitchell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mitchell struggling a bit here. Mitchell tries to bench press Toyo off him but Toyo keeps the position. Mitchell regains half guard. Mitchell tries to get to full guard but Toyo has control of the leg. Toyo is controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mitchell won't allow Toyo to pass to mount. Mitchell has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Toyo escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Toyo! Mitchell is looking to reverse the position. Mitchell is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitchell looking for a sweep but Toyo has passed into full mount! Oh no! Mitchell tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mitchell tries to hold on but Toyo pushes him away. Toyo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mitchell wants to control but Toyo is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Toyo controlling the position easily from mount. Mitchell keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
James Mitchell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Toyo looking to control but Mitchell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mitchell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to James Mitchell. Well Mitchell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
