Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rikkard Hanson (ranked 5557 p4p, 23301 weight class) and Sutarjo Sukarman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sutarjo Sukarman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rikkard Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 67 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sutarjo Sukarman! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sukarman's guard. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Hanson scoring with some ground and pound. Hanson gets to his feet. That was a close round but I would say that Rikkard Hanson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Hanson shoots in and drives through. Sukarman sprawls well. Sukarman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hanson quickly recovers to half guard. Rikkard Hanson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sukarman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hanson defending well though. Sukarman not landing any meaningful shots this time. Sukarman stops Hanson from getting back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hanson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sukarman swivels and escapes. Sukarman shoots in for a takedown but Hanson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sukarman tries to keep at a distance but Hanson has taken the fight into the clinch.

He's tossed Sukarman clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Sukarman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sukarman trying to control the position but Hanson manages to sink in the hooks. Rikkard Hanson dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Hanson dives in and scores a takedown into Sukarman's guard. Sukarman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
