Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Frank Shewmaker (ranked 2817 p4p, 24006 weight class) and Curtis Tate Iii (ranked 99 p4p, 248 weight class). Curtis Tate Iii told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The crowd are calling 'kneeees!' as Shewmaker has the Thai clinch. Shewmaker obliges, smashing a knee brutally into Tate Iii's nose and sending him crashing to the canvas! Will be beat the count?! 3,4,5,6,7,8...9... and he's up on 9! Wow, that was close! The referee takes a long look and is going to allow it to continue!
Curtis Tate Iii's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Tate Iii swings for the body but Shewmaker moves out of range.

Shewmaker moves into the clinch.
Tate Iii is looking to control Shewmaker's arms but Shewmaker gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tate Iii has his back to the ropes.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Shewmaker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Shewmaker's Muay Thai looks sharper than normal. He has obviously been working on it in the gym.

After winning the bout, Frank Shewmaker thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
