Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Roberts !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erick Wright!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Roberts lands an elbow just above Wright 's eye.
It looks like Erick Wright has been cut.
Roberts breaks the clinch.
Roberts gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wright to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Roberts is looking to stand back up but Wright counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Roberts .

Roberts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wright on the ground.

Wright shoots in and gets a takedown into Roberts 's guard.
Wright stays in close to Roberts 's body and controls the position.
Wright thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Wright is working Roberts over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wright stands up and waves to Roberts to follow him.
Roberts is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A head kick misses from Roberts .

Wright tries to counter with a clinch but Roberts shakes him off and moves away.
Roberts is breathing heavily.
An inside leg kick from Roberts misses.
Roberts throws a head kick but Wright moves out of range.
Roberts connects with a leg kick.
Wright throws a shot from downtown. Roberts moves away and avoids it.
Wright tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roberts swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Roberts keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wright takes an elbow to the forehead.
Roberts misses with an elbow strike.
Wright will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Roberts up against the cage.
Wright goes for a takedown in the clinch but Roberts prevents it.

Wright stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Roberts .

Roberts thuds his right hand into Wright's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Wright shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Roberts 's guard.

Wright stands up over Roberts , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wright sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Roberts 's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Roberts swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jake Roberts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Roberts tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wright swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Roberts misses with a kick to the body.

Wright misses with a hook
and Roberts counters with a good low kick that Wright was not able to check.
Wright throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roberts 's waist but Roberts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wright off to one side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wright accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wright is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Wright is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wright has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Wright takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Wright stands up out of the half guard.
Wright shoots in but Roberts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jake Roberts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erick Wright.
Wright shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Roberts cracks Wright with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Wright takes the fight into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Roberts 's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Wright prevents Roberts from breaking the clinch.
Wright takes an elbow to the temple.
Wright leaning his opponent against the cage.
Wright drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Roberts gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Roberts stops a takedown attempt from Wright.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wright on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Erick Wright will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Roberts misses with a double jab.
Roberts goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jake Roberts is winning the standup battle so far.
Roberts gets caught napping as Wright dives in and scores a takedown. Roberts manages to retain guard.
Wright seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Let's hope that Wright has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wright connects with a nice short shot to Roberts 's temple.

Wright is taking a breather. Roberts says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wright escapes and gets back to his feet.
Wright will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Roberts tries to clinch there but Wright circles away.
Wright clinches up with Roberts and pushes him back against the cage.

Wright ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wright no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Wright manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Roberts manages to get himself to full guard.

Wright is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Wright.
Erick Wright has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wright lands a couple of decent looking shots.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Erick Wright comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Wright winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
